Charm++ parallel programming system

Dr. Sabitha,

That's a pretty old version of Charm++, distributed with an old
version of NAMD. I'd suggest getting the released NAMD 2.7 which
carries a newer version of Charm++.

Also, you shouldn't need to specify gcc, since Charm++ will pick that
up by default.

Is your machine 64 bit, or 32 bit? If you don't know directly, please
run 'uname -a' and send us the output. It should be just one line.
