Sorry for button-pushing fail before. Was getting off a plane. 

 

I committed a preprocessor workaround for this to madness a while back. Might be incomplete but it's halfway there at least. You can find on github.

I think we may be able to automate that in a test in our configure script. That'll make a good starting coding task for one of the new students.
