Kerry,

Charm++ is checking you e g++, not your gcc. Maybe a linking issue with your compiler?

Hi,

I tried using the following command to try and compile Charm:

./build charm++ multicore-linux-x86_64 gcc   gfortran    --with-production -stc=c++11

This was done to try and force charm++ to use the gcc compiler that returned

gcc.exec (GCC) 5.3.1 20160129

when checking gcc --version.

From the output it looks like charm is using the correct compiler but it still fails in the same place.

Kenny,

Maybelline check if this is the same g++ that Charm is able to see during instalation? Additionally, when I'm building I'll usually add after --with-production any other flags i'd use with gcc, such as -std=c++11. This is useful if you added modules to Charm and wants to compile those with some extra flags during the building process.

Does g++ —version have the same output?

Also, could you please describe the platform you are compiling it on in more detail?  Such as, which distribution of linux and its release number.
