        This talk will describe the currently dominant general purpose object 
detection software in the computer vision community. General machine learning 
methods and philosophical considerations will also be discussed. David 
McAllester has served on the faculty of Cornell and MIT, was a researcher at 
AT&T Laboratory. He has made fundamental contributions to AI planning, 
knowledge representation, programming languages, machine learning, and 
computer vision. Open to all. Pizza will be provided after the talk!
