Hi everybody,

I am co-organizing an Allerton special session entitled "Active Learning, Search, and Visual Recognition." Guest speakers include Ben Taskar, Devi Parikh, Alex Berg, and others on the information and learning theory side. The session will take place 1:30PM-3:30PM this Thursday. Here is a link to a more detailed schedule:

Maps and directions to Allerton can be found here:

If you are interested in going *and can volunteer to drive others*, please reply to this mailing list so we know who you are :)

And, whether or not you can make it to the session on Thursday, please be sure to come to Ben's AIIS seminar on Friday and sign up to meet the three visitors in the department! Saurabh and Yonatan are coordinating the schedules.

Lana
